This community holiday tradition, held in the Martha Luigi Auditorium, provides a unique opportunity for Rockport-Fulton High School choir students to perform for the community with the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra. This high quality, professional performance, has sparked tremendous student interest in school music programs.
This event is held in the Rockport-Fulton High School Commons area immediately after Holiday Symphony by the Sea and offers members of the community an opportunity to observe teachers and students demonstrating the projects they have produced using money from the grants The Foundation provides to the schools. Refreshments are provided by The Foundation and by local restaurant volunteers.
This fun fundraiser takes place in October. Think golf tournament with a shopping twist. Experience “shop ’til you drop” shopping with discounts, costumes, prizes, food, and zany fun. The Shining Stars Banquet is a signature event which provides an opportunity for both the Aransas County ISD, the Education Foundation, and members of the community to recognize exceptional students and educators.
Beginning in 2009, The Foundation has sponsored a Patrons Party to offer donors a unique opportunity to support the Foundation and its mission by being an event or table sponsor, purchasing event and raffle tickets, and bidding on live, big board, and silent auction items.
Surprising teachers with “Big Checks” for grants that advance educational excellence is what the Grant Patrol is all about. Members of the Education Foundation Board, ACISD School Board, and community board the bus, visit the schools and share this rewarding experience with our teachers and students. It’s fun, exciting, and motivating for all.
